Curtain Call Celebrant Konstantinos Perentesis
A final bow with a standing Ovation for your loved one
Storytelling has guided humans since time immemorial. We used it to teach children, entertain our friends, and to honor those who cannot tell their own story anymore. The tradition of storytelling to honor our dead continues today with celebrants.

I'm Konstantinos (they/them), a funeral celebrant and mortuary school student. Before joining funeral service, I was a writer and hold a bachelor of science degree in biology. I believe a celebration of life should live up to the celebration part. We gain so much by sharing memories of those we love in a group, especially if we hear a story we had no clue about. I would love to meet your loved one through you and those they held dear.
What is a funeral celebrant?
A funeral celebrant builds a relationship with the loved ones of someone who has passed to give a service. Celebrant services are a gift to the loved ones and are engaging, honest, and are meant to convey the love for the one who can't tell their stories anymore.
Who can benefit from a celebrant?
Celebrants can provide an entirely unique service to anyone from people to pets. Services can be as secular or religious as requested, the service truly driven by the needs for the loved ones. A celebrant service is for mourning as well as a celebration for anyone.
Why "curtain call"?
In theater, the curtain call is the final chance to cheer and applaud the performers who just gave a stellar performance. There's joy, celebration, tears, and at its core, recognition of the hard work put into the show and performance. When we lose a loved one, they can't come to the stage but we can give them an incredible curtain call, even if they aren't with us to take a final bow.
'Cause like a river runs dry
And leaves its scars behind
I'll be by your side
'Cause my love is set in stone
